Moffitt Cancer Center, Florida's sole National Cancer Institute-accredited Comprehensive Cancer Center, aimed to revamp its website to reflect its advanced research and medical innovations. The goal was a cleaner, modern design that appeals to patients, families, and researchers.

The previous design of moffitt.org was conventional and outdated, contrasting with the innovative and future-facing organization. The redesign aimed to project a softer, warmer and welcoming vibe rather than the impersonal, clinical feeling common among healthcare providers.

A well-defined design system benefits both external users and content editors. For visitors, the design system functions as an intuitive guide, providing clarity on content categorization, actionable steps, and seamless navigation.

The design system offers content editors a comprehensive toolkit with mobile-first templates and easy-to-use components. This structure streamlines page creation, enabling a focus on content. As the website scales, the design system ensures organic evolution while maintaining Moffitt Cancer Center's brand identity.
